Yelp Redesign
In this project, I reimagined Yelp’s user experience to enhance navigation, and streamline the review process. My redesign focused on a cleaner, more modern interface that prioritizes essential information and user flow. Key features include an updated homepage with personalized recommendations, a refined search experience, and a simplified review submission. Through user-centered design, I aimed to create a platform that’s not only visually engaging but also easy and enjoyable to use.
I streamlined the design by consolidating all options into a single line on the top navigation bar, with the search engine centered for easy access. The location tab was minimized to reduce visual clutter while maintaining its functionality. I also refined the search page layout, organizing content by service categories. This approach preserved the original information from Yelp's website, ensuring a clean, ordered interface that enhances user experience.
I developed a structured layout for each service category, showcasing restaurants with key details, including ratings, cuisine type, and a prominent call-to-action button for table reservations. This organized approach enhances user navigation and provides essential information at a glance, making it easier for users to explore options and make reservations seamlessly.
I refined the layout of the individual pages by introducing balanced white space, creating a clean and uncluttered look that enhances readability. This design choice ensures information is easy to digest, allowing users to focus on key details without visual distractions.
